The resulting process enables us to find the standard set of steps that we can all follow and therefore guarantee that we are producing a result that works. Our process guarantees value, which is a very different proposition to guaranteeing just time and budget like so many others.
One of the advantages of having a process is that it allows us to have a reusable strategy.
Everyone in this business talks about reuse but it's impossible to have a reusable strategy without having a well thought out, clearly defined, clearly understood and manageable process. It is impossible to take an application created for one client and port it across to another client.
With our process everyone follows the same steps. It allows us to repeat things. It eliminates the guess work when starting a project for example as we all follow the same initial steps. With this repeatability comes predictability. Steps have been worked on before in other projects or the process has been applied to similar projects.
As well as guaranteeing the delivery of a project on time and on budget our process also ensures the clients strategy and expectations are clearly defined and well understood.
